Time to apply pressure on CPA, state - News from southeastern Connecticut - theday.com

I have been following the way New London has been treated by the Connecticut Port Authority and I have a suggestion − contact DRVN. How many local towns/cities does DRVN supply with salt? How many legislators live in those towns (more than the five in The Day on Jan. 10)? What is the five-year average to each municipality for road salt? How much will it cost each of them to get their new supply from New Haven or Providence? Now you all go to the State House and meet with the governor and the CPA and ask them if the state is going to make up the difference (ha ha) to each town?

You already know the answer. However, I estimate that there will be around 15 legislators that can be a very important group that will be called upon for future legislation. And let's see if we can get that person out of the Office of the Secretary of the State and gain access to the so-called audits of past expenditures.

Go for it. What do you have to lose when you do not have anything to begin with?
