Jordan Brand is set to bring back one of the Air Jordan 11‘s OG color schemes in 2021, as the Air Jordan 11 Low will release in “Legend Blue.” First brought to market in 1996 as the “Columbia” — and debuted on Michael Jordan‘s feet at the 1996 NBA All-Star Game — the mixture of white and powder blue was renamed “Legend Blue” for its OG high-top 2014 release, and now the scheme will return for the first time in seven years in a low-cut style with a special blink-and-you’ll-miss it alternate detail.
Forgoing the ballistic mesh construction of its high-top counterpart, this low “Legend Blue” opts for a white leather base, but retains signature patent leather on its glossy white mudguard. The first indicator of its nom de guerre is provided by a powder blue strip on its mesh tongue, adorned with black Jordan text and a white Jumpman logo. Collars are done up in black as well, and the aforementioned alternate detail appears on the insole: a “25” is present instead of the standard “23,” possibly a nod to the 25th anniversary of the color scheme’s debut. Standard “23” graphics return on the heel. Down below, a white midsole is loaded with Zoom Air for comfort and features a black/blue carbon fiber plate for extra support. A finishing touch is provided by “Legend Blue” hits on the icy outsole.
The Air Jordan 11 Low “Legend Blue” is reportedly scheduled for an April release, though this has yet to be officially confirmed by Nike. The MSRP will likely be set at $185 USD.
