All of the nine Comal County maintained boat ramps have officially been closed due to low water levels, according to a Comal County news release. The water level as of Tuesday, August 29, is 892.57, according to the Comal County Engineer's Office.
The record all-time low for Canyon Lake was 892.70 feet msl, which happened back on September 9, 2009, according to the US Army Corps of Engineers. In July, the lake was roughly two feet from reaching the record low, and about a month later on Sunday, August 27, the lake had eclipsed the record mark, according to a MySA report.
