ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) – The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations statewide have dropped to the lowest level since the pandemic began. That’s according to date released by Governor Andrew Cuomo on Saturday. There were 371 hospitalizations statewide. The previous record-low was 410 on September 5, 2020.
Cuomo said that less than 100 patients are in the ICU.
The 7-day average COVID-19 positivity rate for the Finger Lakes region is now down to .40%.
In the Finger Lakes, the percentage of people with at least one vaccine dose is 56.7%. The percentage with the completed series is 53.2%.
