Lambeau Field welcomes season ticket holders for first time during pandemic - WKOW

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- The Packers played at Lambeau Field Saturday against the Rams and for the first time all season, season ticket holders were allowed in the stands, for the playoff game.

6,500 tickets were sold to season ticket holders. First responders, Rams fans and Packers employees also had a chance to get tickets. They sold out in 27 minutes. In total there was about 9,000 fans were at the game.

To be able to attend the game, fans were required to self screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to the game. And when inside, fans had to stay in their socially distanced pod of seats and wear a face covering at all times.

27 News spoke to a some Packers fans before the game, Pat Bichler and his pod were celebrating this opportunity.

Dave Riley said, "It was very painful not being able to come to Lambeau Field and see our Packers play."

Charlie Riley added, "We've been watching every Sunday since when I can remember."

Alex and Jacob Peeters and were excited to see the team they've watched all season in person "I'm looking forward to seeing them in person. You watch them on TV all year. You've got the MVP, see him throw it in person."
