KINSTON, N.C. – For the fifth time in her career, Duke University women's golf rising senior Erica Shepherd has carded low amateur accolades as she closed the Epson Tour's Carolina Golf Classic on Sunday at the Kinston Country Club in Kinston, N.C.

Shepherd, who hails from Greenwood, Ind., turned in rounds of 68, 72, 72 and 71 for a 1-under-par, 283, to finish tied for 45th.  She was one of only three amateur golfers to make the cut.

It marked the second Epson Tour event she has competed in and the eighth professional tournament she has seen action in.

A total of four Blue Devils finished in the top-45 of the event, led by Lindy Duncan's 11-under-par, 273.  Duncan, a 2013 Duke graduate, was 14-under-par over the final three days to notch her second top-11 finish of the season.  Fellow Blue Devils Miranda Wang (T26) and Jaravee Boonchant (T32) also turned in solid finishes.

Lucy Li collected individual medalist honors as she defeated Alexa Pano in a playoff, after finishing with a 19-under-par, 265.

Blue Devils on the LPGA

On the Shoprite LPGA Classic in Galloway, N.J., four Duke golfers finished in the top-30 led by top-10 finishes from Celine Boutier and Brittany Lang.  Gina Kim and Yu Liu also placed tied for 29th.  Boutier notched her sixth top-10 finish of the season, while Lang posted her first top-10 finish of the season.

Ingram Helps Lead U.S. to Victory in Curtis Cup

For the second straight summer, former Duke University women's golf standout Sarah LeBrun Ingram led the United States to a victory over Great Britain & Ireland in the Curtis Cup as the U.S. notched a 15 ½ to 4 ½ win in Ardmore, Pa.

A 1998 graduate, Ingram was a three-time member of the Curtis Cup as a player in 1992, 1994 and 1996 and served as captain the last two years.

Since 1992, the Blue Devils have had at least one representative in the Curtis Cup, and in 15 of the 16 times it has been contested.  It is the best streak of any school in the nation.
