NEW YORK (WBNG) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the number of coronavirus hospitalizations and patients intubated has reached new lows.
The number of hospitalizations has dropped to 458 cases and the number of intubations resulting from the virus in the state is at 48 cases. Cuomo said these are the lowest numbers since mid-March.
In addition, Governor Cuomo announced the suspension of 6 new NY State liquor licenses in Oswego, Brooklyn, Nassau, and Suffolk for violating coronavirus regulations.
In total, 168 businesses' liquor licences have been suspended during the pandemic, and 926 charges have been filed and processed.
Governor Cuomo said, "Compliance in higher-risk industries like bars and restaurants has been key to achieving this progress". Cuomo added that the state will hold those accountable who risk the safety of the public.
"Our ability to keep this deadly virus in check will be determined by what each of us does each day and by the capacity of local governments to enforce state guidance," he stated.
In Broome County, 3 new positive cases have been recorded .
