Summer begins in just 10 short days but of course it already feels like summer across Central Texas. Temperatures will continue to warm up over the next couple of afternoons but Fortunately humidity will be staying low too. Morning temperatures Thursday starting out in the 50s and 60s will warm into the upper 80s and low 90s by the end of the afternoon. Northeasterly winds will keep humidity low so yes, it will be hot, but it will not feel too oppressive outside. We’ll spend another morning in the low to mid 60s Friday before temperatures rebounds into the low 90s Friday afternoon. High temperatures return back into the mid-90s this weekend but easterly winds will keep humidity values lower than normal. Temperatures continue their upward trend into the mid to upper 90s next week and humidity will start to slowly creep back into Central Texas too. Heat index values next week may get as high as about 103° but unfortunately that bump up in humidity won’t lead to any chances of rain since rain chances stay out of the forecast through at least next Thursday.
