CONNECTICUT — Connecticut had its lowest positive test rate since the pandemic began at .8 percent on Friday; 65 new positive cases were reported out of 7,922 results.
The state also saw its first increase in hospitalizations in more than a month with a net increase of five cases up to 127. Another nine deaths were recorded, which brought the state total up to 4,307.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose by 65 to 46,059 and the number of deaths increased by 9 to 4,307. Nearly, 415,000 people have been tested for the virus.
"With a 0.8% positive rate, today's new cases are one of the lowest rates to date since the start of the pandemic," Gov. Ned Lamont said.
"Throughout the course of this crisis, our goal has been to provide guidance based on real, expert medical advice. I'm grateful to so many of Connecticut's residents who are doing what's right.
