Don’t worry, there’s not a liquor shortage in Michigan, state officials say. But they do want to discuss some supply chain issues.

The Liquor Control Commission will hold a meeting Wednesday, April 6 to discuss those issues.

The Commission seeks to update the public on what’s going on in the U.S. and global marketplace, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The discussion will focus on suppliers’ inability to keep up with demand, a shortage of aluminum cans and glass bottles, increased shipping costs, port congestion, and other issues.

The meeting is open to liquor licensees, manufactures, wholesalers, retailers, government officials, and many others affected by the disruptions.

Members of the public may attend and participate in the meeting via phone by calling (888)204-5984, then entering the passcode 3198088.

The meeting will be held at the commission’s Lansing office, at 525 W. Allegan Street, Lansing, MI, 48933.
