
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Active COVID-19 cases were below 6,000 In information released by the state Department of Health and Human Resources Sunday.
The numbers which normally come out at 10 a.m. weren’t released Sunday until after 3:30 p.m.
Active cases are now at 5,737 levels not seen since last October.
There were 155 confirmed cases added and two more deaths including an 86-year old female from Mason County, and a 68-year old male from Berkeley County.
Hospitalizations were at 179 Sunday.
Nearly 217,000 state residents have now been fully vaccinated.
