MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Happy Thursday! Rain chances will stay on the lower side through the weekend as temperatures warm. Rain chances will increase as we head into the next work week. Temperatures to start our Thursday are mainly in the upper-60s. Patchy light fog is possible in one or two spots this morning, but widespread concerns are not expected. Any fog that develops (which will be uncommon this morning) will dissipate by 8 a.m. We look too see mostly sunny skies on our Thursday with highs in the low-90s. A pop-up shower or storm is possible this afternoon, but the good majority of us will remain dry. We’ll see clear skies tonight with Friday morning lows around 70 degrees.
A pop-up shower or storm will be possible Friday afternoon as temperatures begin to warm. Highs will be in the mid-90s Friday afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Pop-up shower and storm chances will continue into our Saturday as highs stay in the mid-90s. Most of Saturday will be dry under partly cloudy skies. Morning lows by Sunday will be in the mid-70s. Rain chances will increase slightly on our Sunday, but most of us still look to remain dry. Sunday is expected to be the warmest day of the next seven with highs in the upper-90s under partly cloudy skies.
Storm chances will continue to increase as we head into next week. Monday will feature partly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the mid-90s on our Monday. Rain chances will increase further heading into our Tuesday and Wednesday. Scattered showers and storms will become more likely on both afternoons. Morning lows will be in the low-to-mid-70s during this time frame. Afternoon high temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the low-90s.
