Life in the Time: Military Family Knows How to Adapt - Bay News 9

More than two decades of military experience comes in handy for disasters and a global crisis.

What You Need To Know

Carolina Conner and her husband Jason Conner are Luxury Real Estate Advisors at Engel and Volkers Madera Beach.

Jason is also a contractor and CEO for Carolina Connor Custom Homes.

They both have multiple titles - including “Military Family.”

Jason is a retired U.S. Army Major.

“Being adaptable is one of the greatest things about being in the military and coming from the community that I came from,” the combat veteran said.

It’s all because they know how to remain calm he says.

"We've all been involved in some type of high intensity moments that really prepares us for any situation,” Jason said.

Carolina says after moving every three years during her time as a military wife, she knows how to help others in similar situations.

As the pandemic struck, they moved online for house showings and walk-throughs.

And the couple is spending as much time as they can taking their two young children, Alejandra and Gabriella, on socially-distant outdoor adventures - when they are not at work.

They have also decided to put their children back in school.

“And we believe everyone is taking the precautions that we needed to for them to be safe. And so they're excited,” said Carolina.
