Area counties have a low-end severe weather risk the next few days.
The Storm Prediction Center has Lyon and all surrounding counties have a slight risk of severe weather Wednesday late afternoon and again by late evening. Hail and high wind are the main concerns.
Marginal risk areas have been set up for Thursday and Friday, again for hail and wind.
Hot, humid conditions will stay with us through the weekend and into early next week. Heat index readings could approach 100 degrees at times through the upcoming weekend.
