ORLANDO, Fla. – In the wake of a cold front that cleared Central Florida early Tuesday, expect a much cooler week ahead.

Afternoon highs won’t warm much, reaching 70 degrees across most of the area and a few upper 60s for northern neighborhoods.

The coldest morning of the week will be early Wednesday, with wake-up temperatures falling into the mid-40s north of the I-4 corridor and values in the low 50s for southern counties.

A gradual warmup continues through the rest of the week as temperatures climb into the mid-70s by the end of the workweek.

Cloud cover is expected to increase late Friday as a strengthening cold front begins to approach the region. A stream of moisture will move in on Saturday, with rain chances ramping up from north to south. Models show a marginal risk for excessive rainfall on Saturday.

Due to the rain and clouds, temperatures will turn cooler, staying in the upper 60s to low 70s throughout the weekend.
