The National Hurricane Center is keeping track of an area of low pressure off the coast of the Carolinas for the possibility of some tropical development in the next few days.
The disturbance may bring gusty conditions and increase rain chances for the coastal Carolinas.
Regardless of development, the disturbance will not pose any threat to Southwest Florida.
The disturbance that’s being watched has been given a 30% chance of development in both the two-day and five-day outlooks.
Elsewhere in the tropics, there are no active storms or any regions of weather that are threatening to the state of Florida.
