Anonymous coach from Nashville calls Jeremy Pruitt a 'low class human being' - atozsportsnashville.com

Former Tennessee Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt didn’t make many friends in the Nashville area during his tenure at UT.

The Athletic recently interviewed eight anonymous in-state coaches about Tennessee recruiting. One coach, in particular, had some pretty harsh things to say about Pruitt.

The anonymous coach from Nashville said Pruitt didn’t think he could win with kids from Tennessee. He then called Pruitt a “low-class human being”.

From The Athletic:

He told one of our kids who played for him, who started a lot of games for him, that he couldn’t win with kids from our school and needed some dogs from Georgia. I was not a big fan at all. He didn’t think he could win with Tennessee kids…And to be honest with you, I thought he was a low-class human being. We had kids on that team, we had managers, and just the stories about him, he didn’t sound like someone I’d really want to have anything to do with.

Ouch.

There are some other not-so-great comments about Pruitt in the article ($) which you can read here.

It’s not a surprise to hear these comments about Pruitt, as they fall in line with what we’ve heard about him dating back to his days at Georgia.

On a positive note, the anonymous coaches had nothing but great things to say about the new staff at Tennessee, specifically offensive coordinator Alex Golesh, who was described by one coach as “outstanding” and “very personable”.
