The statistics include the death of one Kandiyohi County resident, which was listed in Saturday's report. The individual was in the 85-89 age range and was the only death in the region over the weekend, according to the Saturday and Sunday reports from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Stearns County, which typically has double-digit increases in case numbers every day, had a total of 55 new cases over the weekend.
The other area counties tracked by the West Central Tribune had single-digit increases on each of the two days.
The weekend tally includes Kandiyohi County with 12 new cases, Swift County had 10, Renville County had four, Meeker, Redwood and Yellow Medicine counties each had three new cases and Pope County had two.
Big Stone, Chippewa and Lac qui Parle counties did not have any new cases over the weekend.
The state's total number of positive cases is now at 461,807.
Of the cumulative number of cases, 36,456 are health care workers.
Currently, Minnesota has recorded 6,200 deaths attributed to COVID-19. Most of the deaths, 3,929, have occurred in long-term care or assisted living facilities, and 5,141 of the deaths were 70 years or older.
The information was included in the latest Minnesota Department of Health daily situation update, released at 11 a.m. daily. The data released are current as of 4 p.m. the day before.
Since the start of the pandemic, the number of COVID-19 cases among residents confirmed to reside in area counties and the number of deaths includes:

Renville County: 1,404 cases; 40 deaths

Stearns County: 18,244 cases; 193 deaths

Yellow Medicine County: 954 cases; 17 deaths
The state is now also reporting daily vaccine administration numbers. The vaccine is not yet available to the general public. Health care workers and long-term care facility residents are the priority populations currently.
As of Sunday’s report, 418,299 people have received one dose and 111,715 have completed the two-shot vaccine series statewide.
