Extensive low clouds with drizzle will keep a lid on the sun until early afternoon for most today as below average readings keep the Bay Area quite cool.

Breezy winds are on tap again this afternoon while the marine layer clings to the coast, keeping highs chilly, just in the 50s at the beaches and downtown.

Inland, 70s arrive later today with sunny skies and 60s inside the Bay.

Monday and beyond:
A brief warmup arrives to start the work week but another cooldown commences by midweek.

The good news is that there won't be any fire concerns into next weekend.

East Bay:
Drizzle to start, then partly cloudy with breezy winds.
Highs: 62-66.

Lows in the lower 50s.

Inland East Bay:
Becoming sunny.

Tonight: Cloudy skies.
Lows: In the 50s.

Peninsula:
Morning drizzle.
