The Minnesota Golf Association reported rounds up almost 30 percent last summer. Golf courses are expecting a busy year this year too.
Steve Makowske with Centerbrook Golf Course says they are already busy with the course opening in March.
“Golf is at a fever pitch this time of season,” said Makowske. “COVID is still in play, so we still have everybody wants to come out and play.”
Makowske says leagues are already full, but since those don’t begin for another month, there are tee times available.
Reservations are still required and many of the COVID precautions are in place like social distancing and wearing a mask in the clubhouse.
“You play in 90 minutes or less and get all the golf you want and all the golf you want and better yet, a little fresh air,”said Makowske.
