'Monday Night Football' rebounds some for ESPN and leads all of primetime.
CBS' comedy The Neighborhood began its season with fairly steady ratings, a noteworthy feat in a fall where numbers are largely down on the broadcast networks. Bob Hearts Abishola also held up reasonably well, but the network's two dramas came in low.
Elsewhere, Monday Night Football bounced back some from last week's below-average outing, and The Voice led the broadcast networks in primetime, albeit with season-low numbers.
The Neighborhood premiered with a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.79 million viewers, in line with the 0.9 and 5.7 million for its 2019 premiere. Bob Hearts Abishola (0.7, 5.22 million) was a little off its series debut last year (0.9, 5.89 million). All Rise (0.5, 4.24 million) and Bull (0.4, 4.47 million), however, both put up same-day series lows in both the 18-49 demo and total viewers.
The Voice led the broadcast networks across the board Monday night, but its 0.9 in adults 18-49 and 6.93 million viewers were both same-day lows for the season. Weakest Link (0.5 in 18-49, 3.04 million viewers) was even with last week in the demo but slipped to a season low in total viewers.
At ABC, Dancing With the Stars (0.8 in 18-49, 5.75 million viewers) was down a little week to week, while The Good Doctor (0.6, 4.3 million) declined in viewers but held onto last week's demo rating.
Monday Night Football averaged 11.45 million viewers and a 3.2 in the demo for ESPN, up from last week's 9.83 million and 2.8. The game led all of Nielsen-measured TV on Monday in viewers and every key demo.
