For the second day in a row, the Dickinson girls golf team competed in beautiful weather.

After a solid day in Minot on Friday, they went to Williston on Saturday and Lola Homiston played as well as she has all year.

Homiston shot her second round in the 70’s this fall with a 76 that included a 39 on the front nine and a 37 on the back.

She also made three birdies at The Links of North Dakota Golf Course playing the par 3’s even par with birdies on number 3 and 11, but she doubled hole 8.

Homiston also birdied the par five seventh hole.

As a team, the Midgets shot 420 with Abby Goettle carding the team’s second best round with a 108.

Rounding out Dickinson’s scores were Chloe Kraenzel with a 114, Hazel Emter with a 122, Kyndall Peterson with a 123 and finally Tristyn Baumgartner shot a 126.

Kraenzel did record an eagle on the par five fourth hole when she holed out from 130 yards off the green.

Homiston’s round was good for third place as she was behind Williston’s Carrie Carmichael and Century’s Hannah Herbel.

Herbel did not win the tournament for the first time this season as she shot a 74 and Carmichael carded a 73.

However, the Patriots did win the team title with a score of 340.

The next meet is the West Region meet which will be held at Souris Valley Golf Course in Minot.
