Saturday begins dry, but scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible mid to late afternoon. Coverage will be low and mainly for areas south of the DFW metroplex. Any storms that develop could produce brief heavy rain in addition to a few lightning strikes. Highs will range from the upper 80s to low 90s.

Sunday through Labor Day will be rain-free, hotter and more humid with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s.

A cold front will arrive late Tuesday bringing a chance of showers and storms Tuesday night into Wednesday. There will be a noticeable drop in temperatures and humidity beginning next Wednesday.
