Coronavirus has put a damper on July 4th celebrations but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Independence Day with fireworks.
Macy’s will present its “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” tonight in New York City. The booming display will air on NBC July 4 from 8-10 ET (7-9 ET). You can also stream it live on the NBC app or Hulu.
The event, headlined by John Legend, will feature fireworks set to a mix of pop and patriotic music. Also featured will be The Killers, Lady A., Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley. The Young People’s Chorus of NYC will virtually perform “America the Beautiful” and “Lean On Me,” NBC said.
The July 4th show is a finale to week of pop-up shows across the boroughs. The unannounced fireworks shows were designed to prevent crowds from congregating to see the show. Tonight’s finale will be above the Empire State Building.
